can I take admission in NIST cse odisha if I score 85 percentile in jeemains??

Rohit K Bhat 10th Aug, 2021

Greetings of the day dear aspirant

The cutoff trends changes every year and it depends on the number of students appearing in the examination, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc.

The closing rank for CSE Branch at National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST), Berhampur was 1,48,421 in the year 2016. The closing rank in the same year was 4,55,945. These closing ranks are of JEE Mains and for Unreserved/General Category candidates.

Based on previous year data what could be qualifying mark in neet 2022 for a sc category in Odisha state quota ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 1st Jul, 2021

Hi

Neet cut off percentile for sc category is 40 percentile and it is same for all the states be it odisha or any other state.

Now,

Neet 2021 examination is still to be conducted, so this is very difficult to predict neet 2022 cut off . Also, cut off marks keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like :-

*number of students that appeared in the exam,

*kind of marks obtained by them ,

*toughness level of the examination etc.

But yes,

Cut off marks will be more or less similar to previous years and when we go through past year qualifying cut off trends then last 3 years qualifying cut off data is given below for reference :-

Your Category

neet  cutoff  percentie

neet cutoff 2020 marks

neet  cutoff 2019  marks

neet cutoff 2018     marks

General

50th percentile

720-147

701-134

691-119

obc or Sc or st

40th percentile

146-113

133-107

118-96

general -PH

45th percentile

146-129

133-120

118-107

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off

So , in neet 2020 sc category needed at least 113 marks to qualify neet, to be on the safer side you should try to get at least 15 to 20 marks more  in comparison of Neet 2020 cut off as per your category i. e  if you belong to sc category then try to get atleast around 130 marks in order to qualify Neet 2022.

But yes,

Just qualifying with Neet cutoff won't help you to fetch a seat in a Government Medical College so you should try to get at least around 500 marks if you belong to sc category.

For neet 2022 examination, focus on preparation, go through the chapters , practise questions and then revise them, go through mock test papers once you are done with complete syllabus.

Can I apply for eamcet,If I am a resident of odisha?

Akash Singh 1st Jul, 2021

Dear student,

You can apply for it but there is a condition you have to satisfy. Below I am enlisting that condition.

  • A candidate must have resided or studied for at least time period of a four consecutive years in the institutes(educational) or schools of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh upto his/her qualifying exam.
  • If you are a  OCI/ PIO category card holder then too you are eligible for EAMCET.

Now if you satisfy these two criteria though you are from Odisha, then you are eligible for EAMCET.

You can check the eligibility criteria in detail by going through the link below.

what should be minimum score to get AIIMS in Odisha for sc category candidate in neet 2022?

rajeevanand843 8th Aug, 2021

Hii aspirant

You had asked about AIIMS in Odisha so you must be willing to know about AIIMS bhubhneswar which is only aiims located in Odisha. You must be aware that AIIMS admission doesn't take place through the state quota. AIIMS counselling happens through AIQ counseling so to get AIIMS bhubhneswar you will have to participate in AIQ counseling. As Last year cut off for aiims bhubhneswar in SC category was AIR 12362 in AIQ counselling 2020.

Overall aiims (other aiims) cut off ranks in AIQ counseling 2020 upto second round was

Gen- 7575

Obc- 8384

Sc- 47814

St-66560

So if you want to get admitted in AIIMS bhubhneswar then try to score more than 620-630 marks in upcoming neet.

You can check best college through college predictor on basis of marks you are expecting. It is very helpful, click on link below

Hope I may have resolved your query

Im a domicile of odisha n Ive scored only 81.5 percentile in jee main.Ive also OBC quota.so can I get any NIT or IIIT???

Anurag Khanna 7th Aug, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as General.

According to the percentile you have mentioned your OBC rank is expected to be in the range of 50000-55000 , you can check out marks Vs CRL ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get any NIT or IIIT but you can go for some private colleges like :-

  • Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore
  • Nirma University, Ahmedabad
  • MIT College of Engineering, Pune
  • Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-
