monag2673 15th Jul, 2024

No, you don't need to appear for the CA Foundation exam.

Given your MBA in Finance, you are eligible for direct entry into the CA Intermediate course. The eligibility criteria for direct entry requires a graduation degree with a minimum of 60% marks for non-commerce graduates. Since you have an MBA with 62%, you meet the requirement.

hope this helps you!!

Therefore, you can directly register for the CA Intermediate course without appearing for the Foundation exam.

As I am a resident of Maharashtra since my birth, but I have done my graduation in online mode from Manipal University Online. Hence, it is in online mode. Now, I am registering for CAP round process of MAH MBA CET. There are two options of students Type A or Type B. So I am what type of student ?

monag2673 15th Jul, 2024

You are likely a Type B student for the MAH MBA CET.

Here's why:

  • Type A students typically require both HSC and graduation from Maharashtra.
  • Type B students need either their or their parents' domicile in Maharashtra.

Since you were born and reside in Maharashtra, fulfilling the domicile criteria, you fall under Type B. The mode of your graduation (online or offline) doesn't affect your candidature type in this case.

However, it's crucial to verify this information on the official MAH MBA CET website or contact the authorities for definitive confirmation

hope this helps you!!

Tanya Gupta 29th Aug, 2024

Hello,

B.Com (Hons) is generally more specialized and rigorous than B.Com, focusing on advanced topics in finance, accounting, and management, making it better if you plan to pursue a professional course like CA, CFA, or MBA. B.Com offers a broader overview of commerce subjects and is suitable if you want more flexibility in your career options. B.Com (Hons) is often preferred by employers and offers better prospects in finance and accounting roles.

Hope this helps you,
