My cat score is 73.78 percentile and 10th 87% and 12th 65% and gradation sgpa of 8 out of 10 Which colleges i should target for MBA

Hey,

Congratulations for your score. You haven't mentioned your category, so it will be tough to answer. For IIMs, the minimum cut-off is expected to be 80-90 percentile. So, you may not be eligible for admissions. IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Bangalore have already given their cutoffs to be 85-90 percentile.

Master in Business Finance from XUB -----Is it equivalent to MBA (finance) ??

MBA finance and MBF program in XUB are different programs. Although both are recongnised master degrees and are offered by Xavier University, so they are equivalent in that term. Both accepts X-GMT/CAT/XAT/GMAT

The difference is that in MBA (finance) program you study overall general management subjects in first year and

HI aspirant,  the cutoff was above 90 percentile in previous years. So in case your percentile lies above 90 percentile, you have positive chances of getting a seat in this college.  Hope this helps.

You have not mentioned your catergory. However, based on your CAT percentile and profile you can expect to apply to these colleges:

SPJIMR Mumbai (Profile based)- expected cutoff 85%ile

Hey,


41 is quite a low percentile score, but since you belong to OBC category, you have chances of getting admission in some of the good institutes.

You can apply in following colleges:

  • IIM, Rohtak.
  • WLC, Delhi.
  • DSPSR, Delhi.
  • IILM, Gurgaon.
  • ISB, Kolkata.
  • IISE, Lucknow.

i have scored 58.5 percentile in CAT and 90.5 percentile in MAT, in 10th i got 9.6 cgpa equivalent to 91%, in 12th i got 91% from commerce, and in graduation i have 69.6%, please guide me to the right path, should i prefer distance mba or regular and which institutes would be good for that?

Hi Pradip,

You have a good academic record in 10th and 12th. But it is not enough to get into IIM for MBA course. To get into top IIM you need to have a percentile above 99.5+. And to get other IIM , you need to have a CAT percentile

You have a good 10th and 12th academic record, But it is not enough to get into IIM for MBA course. To get into top IIM you need to have a percentile above 99.5+. And to get other IIM , you need to have a CAT percentile of
