Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine which deals with the anatomy, physicology and diseases of eyes. An ophthalmologist is a specialist in medical and surgical eye disease. There are two ways a medical graduate can train himself to be an orthopaedic surgeon. The medical graduate takes a qualifying examination and an interview to be eligible to undergo three years of training. The candidate should have MBBS degree.

In my opinion the eligibility criteria remains the same but the procedure and pattern keeps changing now & then the whole year. The government may take several decisions in between. So we must be up to date on this by watching news or getting updates in other social media. As you are diploma is getting completed by June. You must  attend the exams in February and may in two sessions. But its burden to you only as you must attend both diploma & NEET exam. And its not easy to crack NEET exam. For your kind Information SRM doesn’t have any Campus in Kanchipuram. It has a campus in Kattankulathur.

The tuition fee for Opthamology at Kattankulathur is ₹ 3,00,000 per year.

And PSG Coimbatore is the tuition fee for opthamology is around ₹ 5,25,000/- per year.
