What is the ICAR mark/Range for OUAT BBSR

theeanonymous 15th Nov, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

The ICAR cutoffs and ranks vary with factors like number of seats available, number of applicants and the category you belong to . Assuming you are from general category , you need score above 450 and come under first 500 ranks in order to get into top agriculture colleges or institutes . With respect to Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, you would need a rank below 1000 to stand a fair chance for admission.

U. Janani 14th Nov, 2020

Hi Pratyush!

You have to calculate the percentage with you 10th, 12th PCM or PCB and OUAT marks.

Below is the formula:

(10th mark / 4) + (12th mark / 4) + (OUAT mark / 4) = is your total!

In your case,

(81/4) + (76/4)  + (70/4)  = 56.75

Hope this helps you!

Abir Gayen 14th Nov, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

In this marks you can surely get admission in bsc agriculture or in horticulture in bhubaneshwar.Generally the cut off of Agricultural Engineering,Horticulture remains around 69-75 score. So according to last few year's cutoff you can surely get a good college of Bsc agriculture with this marks.Even if you face problem in getting college in the first rounds you can surely get it in second to third rounds and you can easily get forestry in first rounds with this marks..

Wish you all the best!!

I secure 64 marks in ouat entrance exam and got 73%in 10th and 62%in 12th can i get seat in govt collage plz help me ???

suchayitaanusaha 5th Nov, 2020

Hello,

You didn't mention your category. So thought you are a general category student. Last year in OUAT examination cut-off for general category was 71.333.

You got 64 it's quite low but you know every year cut-off marks will differ basis of questions, colleges, students merit etc.

And for government colleges if you want to join agriculture then you have to score in 10th and 12th grade above 90% or 95%  but your score is quite low for this category.

It's difficult to get a government college but you can try and you will try for private colleges also.

All the best.

I got 80 in my ouat entrance exam 2020. 91 percent in 10th and 70.2 percent in 12th. Will i get ouat agriculture bhubaneswar and how much rank will i expect? I am obc and green card holder too.

suchayitaanusaha 5th Nov, 2020

Hello,

If you got 80 in your OUAT examination then it's good. Last year the general category cutoff was 71.333.

And you mentioned that you are also OBC category candidate belongs with green card. So it's very easy to get a college.

But admission in OUAT Bhubaneswar University have some criteria. Like-

1. You have to score minimum 69% in OUAT exam.

2. Your 10th and 12th grade always above 90% or 95%.

3. If your 10th and 12th grade is low then you will score high in OUAT examination.

You are already said that your grade in 10th and 12th. 10th grade is higher than 90% but your 12th grade is low. So it's difficult to predict us that you are getting this college or not.

Actually agriculture mainly based on your 10th and 12th board examination marks. But you can try for it because every year cut-off marks will differ.

please explain how the weightage of ouat calculated with example

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 20th Oct, 2020

Hello Satyaranjan, hope you are doing well.

Your OUAT UG weightage marks calculation is done by the addition of 25% of class 10% + 25% of class 12( PCB or PCM) percentage+ 50% of the marks scored in OUAT CEE exam) which equals to 100.

50% of the marks scored in OUAT CEE exam means that you have to divide your marks scored in OUAT CEE by 4. Because the total marks of the entrance exam are 200 and by dividing it by 4 we will make it 50. And the weightage of the entrance exam will be then counted out of 50. The other 50 marks weightage comes from your 10th and 12th %age.

So, finally your weightage is calculated like this:-

(10th / 4 )+ (12th/4)+ (Entrance Mark/4) =Weightage

An example:-

Suppose your 10th percentage is 95%, In 12th class average mark in PCM is 88%, PCB is 90%, and entrance mark is 100 out of 200.

Then your weightage will be=

(95/4)+(90/4)+(100/4)= 71.25.

Hence, 71.25 is your OUAT weightage. Your merit list is prepared on the basis of this weightage.

Here, 90% from PCB is taken into the calculation because PCB avg. is more than PCM avg. here.

Hope you are clear now.

Jainshahajal 20th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to get government BSC Ag Bbsr  colleges at this marks . You can get private colleges at this marks. Your rank is match to the private colleges so, you can get some good private colleges. If you want to know about which colleges that you may get you can use our college predictor tool:

sir i got 60 marks in ouat and 59% in class 10 and 74% in +2 ... can i qualify the ouat exam

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 19th Oct, 2020

Hello Sanjana,

Your OUAT weightage is calculate as follows:-

(10th / 4 )+ (12th/4)+ (Entrance Mark/4) = Weightage

And the 12th class (Average of PCM or PCB whichever is more, the total mark of 12th is not taken into account , only PCM or PCB).

You have not mentioned your PCB/PCM average in your question. So, it is difficult to calculate your weightage in OUAT. Also, your marks scored in the entrance is really less(the weightage will be only 15). And your 10th weightage is 14.75.

So, the combined weightage of both entrance and 10th(not including 12th) is only 29.75. Looking at your +2 % also, it does not seem like your +2 weightage will be more than 20.

So, if I assume your +2 weightage to be 20, your OUAT weighatge will become 49.75 which is really low. You may not even get BSc agri in OUAT Bhawanipatna, but it is hard to tell as the higher rank holders may not accept the seats. So, you may have very less chances in OUAT Bhawanipatna in the last rounds of councelling. OUAT Bbsr is out of question.

Hope this helps:)
