While more recent AIIMS campuses may have 200–300 students, paediatrics at prestigious AIIMS like Delhi used to close within the ranks of 18–50. It is advisable to think about other specialities or institutions where the cutoff is higher given your rank. To increase your chances of landing a postgraduate medical seat, actively participate in all counselling rounds, including mop-up rounds, and maintain flexibility in your options.
