BVM is Birla Vishwakarma mahavidyalay college present in Gujrat. This is a government engineering college. And NAAC aggregate AAA+ college it is.  Also UGC approved college. So many courses are offered here and mechanical engineering one of them.  According to the research the fees is good and food is hygienic. The faculties are well educated and very helpful. And the placement also good here, almost 80% students got placed in every year.

Pdeu or pandit Deendayal energy university present in Gandhinagar. This is NAAC aggregate Grade A college and UGC approved college. Here alos offered so many courses and mechanical engineering one of them. Due to research the college infrastructure is good, library laboratories are very good. And placement also good here almost 70% students got placed in every year from mechanical department.

DDU is deen Dayal Upadhyaya university present in uttarpradesh. And it's the same college of pdeu. So I hope you know which one is better now choose your college.

COLLEGE LIFE

College life is better in PDPU as compared to Nirma as in Nirma you have restrictions for almost everything from 85% attendance to walking on their lush green lawns !!!

• Acedmic pressure is more in Nirma as compared to PDPU.
• In Nirma there is no hostel for UG.
• You need to always get permission for playing on cricket grounds and for using other sports equipment.

PLACEMENTS

Placements mainly depends upon your branch.

• In case of CS and IT Nirma have a much upper hand as CS and IT in PDPU is relatively new and even not a single batch is passed and also it is not recommended by seniors.
• In case of petroleum , no doubt go for PDPU as it is the best branch in PDPU with very good placements. About 20 students this year get placed in ONGC through campus placements .
• For Mechanical both colleges are good but still Nirma is better as most of the automobile companies do not visit PDPU campus . Thus if you want to work in automobile company then go for Nirma . Also placements are better in Nirma.
• For electrical/ EC , both colleges have good placements .
• For Chemical both the colleges are good. In Civil placements are not good in both the colleges.

OTHER FACTORS

• Nirma provides a much better transportation facilities than PDPU.
• Ranking wise Nirma is better than PDPU.
• Nirma is slowly losing its shine as most of the best old faculties left the college and new ones are not as good as the old ones. On the other hand PDPU is slowly gaining popularity.
• Nirma is more popular than PDPU outside Gujarat.

So if you are planning to take admission in these colleges then decide on your own what do you want

• A hectic college life with good acedemics and better placement opportunities(except PDPU petroleum) then go for Nirma.
• Somewhat chill college life with decent academics and good placements opportunities then go for PDPU.

Dear applicant, whenever you compare different colleges there are several factors you have to consider. If you wish to get the real information regarding your college, you need to check the college infrastructure, placements, faculties and labs of that college. Considering all four of the aspects, BVM, PDPU, NIRMA and MSU would be the better four among all the options you chose. For B.Tech courses they have well equipped labs, good infrastructure and good placements too.

Firstly if you consider KJ Somaiya College, their placement records vary , in general the salary packages offered are between 2-4 LPA but in recent years there were companies offering 5LPA jobs. You will get enough guidance from your teachers regarding placements. Next considering Bennett University, here the placements are really good. The median salary package expected can be 5-6 LPA. Many companies are recruiting freshers of CSE batch every year. However PDEU would not be the best among the three because here you can expect salary packages of 2-4 LPA. Hope it helps,

If you belong to general category then your rank would be something around 80-90k hence you might get the college but not sure about the cse branch.
