KLE College of Pharmacy, Belgaum or Dy. Patil Institute of Pharmaceutical Science? Which will be the better option for B. Pharm (Lateral Entry) in terms of placement as well as faculty and Infrastructure!

Subhalaxmi Biswal 19th Jan, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

KLE College of Pharmacy, Karnataka would be a better option for you. It is a private univ. formed in 1985 associated under RGUHS, Karnataka. All the programs provided by this institution are authorized by AlCTE. It has a decent framework, faculty members are well-educated, worthwhile, and encouraging. The placement opportunities are provided by leading pharma companies like Apollo Pharmacy, Bioclinia, Mylan Pharmaceutical, Alembic Pharmaceuticals. This course saw a top income of INR 4.6 LPA and a median of INR 2.5 LPA. About 70-80% of candidates got internship opportunities as well. The job profiles which are in high demand are pharmacist, Medical data supervision, medicine safety manager, and clinical investigator. It has decent facilities like well-equipped labs, clean classrooms, and a good library.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

can I get admission for pharmaceutical chemistry after M.Sc chemistry.?

Moumoyee Chakraborty 1st Dec, 2021

Dear candidate for admission into B.Pharmacy courses you need to give entrance examination like state Joint Examinations or JEE Mains. Now for specialization like Pharmaceutical Chemistry you need to crack GPAT Examination and then only you can pursue Masters of Pharmacy course with specialization in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. So after M.Sc Chemistry, shifting to Pharmaceutical Chemistry would be difficult to impossible but one suggestion is that if you go through the courses such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, you would get much similarity with your M.Sc Chemistry curriculum. Only few QSAR Medicinal Chemistry portions might differ.

Good luck!!
