how to study pharmacology effectively in pharmacy subjects ?

Thakur Megha 3rd Oct, 2019
Hello Aspirant,

Pharmacology is my favorite subject and i could tell you that it's very interesting when you have proper grip in Anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology in a proper way,
First start with system wise preparation ,
Like
Cardiovascular system drugs,
Central nervous system ,
Autonomic nervous system ,
Drugs acting on peripheral nervous system,
Hormones and related drugs ,
Drugs acting on kidneys,
Gastrointestinal drugs,
Antibacterial and antifungals and so on....

So in this way if you study about drugs in a system wise then it will become more interesting and easier for you to learn and remember the concepts easily ,

For pharmacology you can refer the KD. TRIPATHI book,
Pharmacology by katzung ,
Pharmacotherapy by Ravi shankar ,

The above mentioned 3 books are good to learn and also understand concepts properly ,

I hope the above information is useful to you,

Good luck ,

All the best !

can b pharm graduate apply for MD pharmacology?

Sunanda Dhar Student Expert 12th Sep, 2019
MD is a medical post graduate degree for which basically MBBS with registration is required as minimum qualification and B.Pharm. though it is considered to be a medical qualification, but in India this qualification is of technical in nature, that is, it is treated equivalent to a B.Tech/B.E. degree. So the answer is No. However you can opt for MSc in Medical/Clinical fields such as clinical research, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, Medical Microbiology, Clinical Biotechnology, etc after a B.Pharm. degree..
Hope you find it helpful

Mock tests help you to rectify your mistakes. It helps you so much because if you give mock tests then you will feel as like original exam. So, it builds up your confidence level also. It provides you an environment to practice and check your capacity of time management, confidence level, solving the questions in the given time, speed and accuracy of solvng the questions etc. So, you should give the mock tests and take it seriously to rectify and improve yourself.
