Dear sir, as per ugc 2019 notification NET is not compulsary or mandatory for assistant professor!? because notification itself read that either NET Or phd (ugc approved) or phd from top 500 universities is eligible for assistant professor. So sir, how could we say, NET is mandatory for asst prof!?
