What if I exclude Chemistry marks from the PCB stream and include Psychology/Physical Education marks as I scored low in Chemistry and want to study Bsc(H) zoology in DU ? Is it possible to replace Chemistry? " English+ Physics + Biology + Psychology/Physical Education"

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 31st Jul, 2021

hi,

the eligibility criteria for applying to b.sc zoology at delhi university is as follows:

Applicant must secure 55% or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry (Practical & Theory together) and 50% or more marks in one compulsory language i.e. English.

Merit will be generated  based on aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry.

so you should not replace the chemistry score with others marks.

i have maths in 12 but i have physical education also as an additional subject . so as i have scored more in phe so can i count phe marks rather than maths ?? for du jat bba course

Atul Singh 30th Jul, 2021

Dear Anshika,

Actually it depends the the course you want to choose. Generally DU take top four subject into the consideration include one language subject also. If you want to take admission in Bsc maths then maths subject would be compulsory same for the physics and biology besides these you can and any three other subject from which one you got more marks including one language subject also.

Still if you have any query the you can drop your message in the reply box.

Hope you find it useful.

Good Luck :)

Does Delhi University counts Physical Education marks in best of four?

Aditi Yadav 26th Jul, 2021
Hey!

Actually counting physical education in best of four subjects varies from college to college and also what course you are applying for.

It is mentioned that for courses of Psychology, economics, mathematics etc. you cannot add physical education in best of four.

If a person includes any non- listed subject in his/her best of four then he/she will face 2.5 percent deduction for every non- listed subject he/she choose.

can i include Physical Education marks for the best 4 subjects in ISC for DU English Hons

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 24th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

According to the rules of calculating best of four marks to get admission in DU, candidate needs to  select one language subjec from LIst A and three academic subjects from List B. And it is mandatory to choose the subject in which admission is sought, failed to do so will result in a disadvantage of 2.5% in the best of four marks. So, as you mentioned that you want admission in BA english Hons so the language subject from List A will be English and you cannot include physical education marks (as physical education also belongs to list A).

Aman Mishra 10th Jun, 2021

Hello,

The marks only shows your efforts and dedication towards that particular exam and choosing a carrier is completely a different part so the choices you should make depending on your interest in some of the field, now for engineering there are some of the best competitive exams like JEE and state level entrance exam which helps you to get college and for pursuing a carrier in medicine you can give competitive exams like NEET and get into some of the best MBBS  government colleges.

Thank you..
