For any competition exam,your main focus should remain on NCERT textbooks as most of the questions are asked from it so make sure you go through your NCERT textbooks thoroughly after that you can opt any reference book like hc Verma,dc Pandey, universal publication,MTG etc.i hope this information

First I would suggest you to clear the basics my completing your 12 th portion. 

If you have already done it then well and good. 

There are many good books available in the market  I would suggest you to have a clarity of concepts from NCERT books and HC Verma
