As per your query i would like to tell you NCERT is most important but remember NCERT is not sufficient..Because the paper is made by cbse and their syllabus is NCERT .But some questions Come other than the NCERT .So to conclude do NCERT at its core but
If you have done BSc. In general.. you can. But if you have done BSc in the feild of mathamatics. You cannot.
But you can take MSc (tech) in geophysics from Hindu University (banaras) .
