Physics
Hello,
Yes, you can add Mathematics through NIOS (open board) and then apply for the Indian Air Force Flying Branch .
For the Flying Branch, Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects at the 10+2 level. Since you passed 12th with PCB, you can take Mathematics as an additional subject from NIOS.
You will then have two marksheets :
Your first 12th marksheet (with PCB)
Your NIOS marksheet (with Mathematics)
This is completely acceptable , as long as both marksheets are from recognized boards (and NIOS is a valid board).
When you apply for the Air Force, you will need to submit both marksheets to show that you have studied Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
Hope it helps !
Sorry, but IITs do not consider marks from different boards combined. You must clear all mandatory Class 12 subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) from a single recognized board. Taking Physics through NIOS after failing your State Board exam will make your original State Board result invalid for JEE Advanced eligibility.
I hope it will clear your query!!
Hello
In Physics, around 10–12 questions are theory-based.
These focus on core concepts, laws, and definitions.
The rest are mostly numerical or application-based.
In Chemistry, theory questions are more frequent, around 15–18.
Inorganic and Organic Chemistry are mostly theory-based.
Physical Chemistry includes some theory but mainly numericals.
Most theory questions are directly from the NCERT textbooks.
In total, 25–30 theory questions come from Physics and Chemistry combined.
