Where you get placed does not depend on your campus as much as it depends on you. The placements are 'centralized' but most of the extraordinarily good packages come from off-campus

engineering mechanics(mechanics from 11th),
communication systems(communication from 12th
electrical science(all of current electricity, AC concepts),
electronic devices and circuits ( semiconductor chapter form 12th),
microwave engineering (Microwaves chapter of 12th).
