Okk so now you can join astronomy undergraduate course and you can also join for honors in physics and mathematics at secondary level. After that you can join postgraduate degree in physics and astronomy. Once you earn your masters degree, you can do specialization in astronomy leading to Phd.

no NIT and IIT offer B.S.c physics hons or any B.S.c offer ,what they are offering is integrated course of M.S.c which is of 5 years ,the admission process followed for this course is same as for B.tech,very fewer NIT's like surat provide integrated course of 5 years BSC+MSC.
