You can apply to IITs as well as NITs.With your marks you might not get IITs but still you should apply.There are very less candidates for MS and PHD programs so you can apply .You check the cut off of all the IITs and NITs here :

For NATA

you must have cleared 12th class

to get seat in good colleges trough NATA you have to clear this exam with good marks and good rank

As if now you are  rank is vary between 78,700 and 78,800.

Wait for qualifying cutoff score which is going to release in April.

And write April exam also for better score than January exam score .
Because shortlisting may done according to category and number of students

You should try for civil engineering or electroic Engineering or Chemical engineering. I think that will be a good option for you. 

I think you should also try for IITs. There are chances of you getting any IIIT colleges with courses such as mechanical or chemical engineering.
