what about placements in btech electrical department

Vivek Kumar 10th Aug, 2021
Hi aspirant, it is true that the placement in Electrical Engineering branch is very low in most of the engineering colleges except some top IIT's, NIT,s, Private colleges etc.
But the thing is if any individual have studied hard in his/her college times and have tight grip over the concepts and also have good industrial exposure durinng his/her college days usually secure at least 1-2 placement offers in his/her On or Off drive placement.
So overall if anyone possess good skills in the area of his/her expertise then he/she can easily get job if not in placements then in other good industries for sure.
Thank you.

Hello Everyone Im a student of 1st year in B.Sc Mathematical Sciences from Maharaja Agrasen College (University of Delhi). I want to become a Data Scientist. Please tell me how can I go further and is big industry come in my college . For placements. If not then how can I go for it. Please tell me.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 1st Jul, 2021

See after BSc getting a job is very fussy. Although you can try but as you said you want to become Data Scientist then you have to data science. Now for that you can do a MSc in Data Science or Mathematical Statistics.

There is a exam called IIT JAM which offers admission to Mathematical Statistics MSc course in IIT;s which you can pursue. As you know IIT's have great placement cells as well as you will get the knowledge from the best of the teachers in India. Also your dream of Data Science will come under this.

The second option is Master of Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute. The MStat program is really a unique and imparts a lot of knowledge in computational statistics. You can become the part of the fatternity of the best of the mathematicians in India as well as you can fulfil your dream of being a Data Scientist.

Now if you want to go for Data Science then you can pursue MSc Data Science course offers by some of the colleges in India like Chennai Mathematical Institute, Ramkrishna Mission College etc.

Also you can go for MCA courses with specialization in Data Science. Now depending on your interest you have to choose the pathways. There are a infinite possibility of ways to be a data scientist, I mentioned some of the most certain ways to be one.

MAC didn't have any data available online for BSc Mathematics Placements but as per the official the companies visiting the college are:

  • Prime Focus
  • Vistara
  • Oyo
  • Yatra
  • Vibgyor
  • Genre 8
  • Go Air
  • Zee
  • DEN
  • Travel Triangle

I would recommend you to keep in mind about the MSc because getting a job after BSc is quite uncertain.

Some of the universities offering MSc Data Science:

  • Vellore Institute of Technology
  • Chandigarh University
  • Indian Institute of Management,  Calcutta
  • Rathinam Group of Institutions,  Coimbatore
  • Shardha University
  • Loyola College,  Chennai
  • GD Geonka University,  Gurgaon
  • Coimbatore Institute of Technology
  • Fergusson college,  Pune

Abhishek Roy 10th Aug, 2021

I would suggest you to pursue CSE in some of the Good Engineering Colleges in Pune, like DY Patil, MIT WPU, VIT Pune and many others like I2IT Pune. What are the placements for mechanical engineering. is it better to join in mechanical engineering in a top nit or ece in low nit.which is better to join .

ayanmukherjee045 10th Aug, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As per your question my reply would be very simple to it. So, don't just judge on the basis of placements and don't run behind packages because there is more to it behind it.

If you do really like mechanical then there are very good nits like Trichy,Warangal ,surathkal and Jamshedpur which offers you really good offers in mechanical. Nit Jamshedpur is one such college which is great in its core placements and can be compared to the top nits. It is an underrated nit to be honest.

But if you like electronics then you should surely opt for it. You would be getting higher packages too.

What placements and where in CSE group

Anushri Varshney 1st Jul, 2021

Hi there,

The placement scenario depends upon the skills of an individual. The better the skills the more are the opportunities for the job. So, better work on the skillsets.

Coming to your point, see the COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING is a branch which offers detailed studies related to the field of software engineering which includes specializations(sometimes), DSA, WEB DEVELOPMENT, ANDROID DEVELOPMENT, Languages like C, C++, Java, Python. The branch is very vast indeed helpful for the job opportunities because the job of a software engineering is very popular. Every company wants to hire skilled employers. You can be a Software Developer, Software Engineer, Analyst, Tester and many more opportunities.

Apart from this, you can also learn about machine learning, Artificial Intelligence,  Cybersecurity, do Open source contributions and create some of the best projects which will give an extra edge to your career.

The placement ratio is very good compared to other branches which are not related to k computer science.

Hope you get my point. For any query please ask.

Thanks!!!!!
