Are degrees like bcs taken from online courses like edx.org valid (i.e. considered) in placements or. not.

Nikita 13th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

At edX, the Verified Certificates are optional for most MOOCs (for a fee) once you complete the course. Your identity will be verified digitally.edX offers additional MicroMasters Credentials. With MicroMasters, some online courses can be credited towards an academic master's degree at certain universities. edX certificates are accredited and recognized by future employers.

Courses done through these websites is good for knowledge sake but in India, there is hardly any value of these certificates. The thing is recruiters don’t really care much where did you learn your stuff from, they are more interested in what you can do with it.

Regards.

which universities gives 90% above placements

Anushri Varshney 15th Jun, 2021

Hi there,

If talking about placement, everything depends upon the skills of the individual. The college/ university is not responsible for the placement of the students, they just provide the no. Of opportunities. Taking about the university provides maximum placement percentage. All TIER 1 college ( IIT, NITS, IIIT) provides the opportunities with a good package. There are also Off-Campus placement opportunities. You just need to be skilled enough to crack the selection process.

Good luck:)
