The NIRF ranking of Dayanand college of engineering is 127. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. As far as placements are concerned, past recruiters include Infosys, Novell, HCL, iGATE, Vodafone, IBM, Deloitte, Dell, Toyota, cisco, L&T infotech, Cognizant etc.

Regarding changing of branch after 1st year of Btech,  internal sliding is done in every college. But for that you need to secure good marks in previous semester. And also every college has different criterias for changing of branch, so contacting the college would be better.
