SARTHAK VERMA 10th Nov, 2021

Hi there!

The marks scored by you are pretty good. Keeping in view the trend of the previous year cutoffs and the difficulty level of the exam this year, you hold a fair enough chance to get admission in MA Political Science course in Banaras Hindu University.

The hostel will be given on the basis of your Female Rank which will be declared after the results. The administration will give you a Composite Hostel Index on the basis of which you will be allotted the hostel.

All the best.

mrinalini048 27th Sep, 2021

Hey Hafsa!

MA in Political Science is a two year post graduate course. This course is open to those who have a bachelor's degree in Political Science or a related subject with a percentage of 50 percent or above. So, you can do MA in Political Science if you have the eligibility percentage. However, each university or college has its unique admissions requirements for MA in Political Science. Few colleges provide admission based on an entrance exam and some offer admission based on a specified proportion of graduation marks. BHU PET, JNUEE, DUET are some of the popular entrance exams for admission in MA Political Science.

Hello sir i have History , Geography , Economics and Political Science in my ISC. Which degree course should i go for after my 12th ?

mrinalini048 21st Sep, 2021

Hey Paramita!

The course you would choose totally depends ok your interest. I would recommend going for that course in which you are most interested in. Each subject you mentioned has its own set of possibilities and career paths.

If you choose Economics, you will discover an assortment of fields including Finance, banking, management. You could further go in research field, secure jobs like economics consultants for big corporations, etc. But you should have enough drive and determination.

You can also go for BA(Hons.) Geography. Geography also provides various career options. You can further do M.Phil or Ph.D. This subject mainly focuses on application and practicality.

If you wish to pursue law after graduation, history and Political Science are better options as compared to other fields you have mentioned. Both of these subjects will require you to read widely and think critically.

You can go for BA Honours in these subjects, and further go for being a teacher or professor. Although it's important that you choose that subject which you have most interest in since you would be required to study these subjects in detail.
