Hlo My application status is show certificate verified what is means this if any check up remaining??? And its a positive status please respond I hope my bfs combination they accepted thats correct??? Actually I was applying for ba political science in kirori mal college

Mrinalini Sarkar 19th Oct, 2020

Hello,

As you mentioned you were applying for admission to Kirori Mal college and it shows verified. The admissions process requires certain certificates to be submitted 10th and 12th certificate, character certificate, transfer certificate , migration certificate and caste certificate. If the the documents submitted are correct in that case it shows verified status which means you can proceed with the further admission process. Now you just have to pay the admission fee based on your course in the admission office for completing your admission process.

Hope it helps,

Good luck.

so in the first cut off list i applied in Shri venketeshwara college for ba programme English and sociology by mistake. i actually wanted to apply for ba programme sociology and political science. i make the first cutoffs for both but i want to change my course how do i do it please help me.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 14th Oct, 2020

In the official website of Sri Venkateshwara College there are no specifics about the changing of course you have applied. So your problem can only be resolved or be guided properly by the authorities only.

As you have cleared the cut-off of what you want to studies , there is a chance that the college administration may give you a opportunity .

So it will be wise if you can contact with the college authorities via email or the contact details present in the website. You will get a clear cut idea about if they will give you a provision or not and according to that take your next step wisely.

I will say it will be better if you contact the college authority calling in the phone number available in the website (in the administration section of the website).

You should speak politely and with respect BY CALLING THEM SIR!

I hope my answer helps. This is one of the solutions you can opt for solving your issue. Have a great day!

Manasi Kadam 12th Oct, 2020

Hello there,

You have secured decent marks to easily pass the best of four criteria for DU BA courses.
For BA English, you need to have 55% or more marks in English and combination of three best other subjects from the following subjects:
any language subjects (core/elective) from List A,
Economics, Geography, History, Legal Studies, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology.

There are some additional cautions that you need tp keep in mind which you may check here:
https://university.careers360.com/articles/du-ba-eligibility-criteria

For BA in Philosophy there is no course specific eligibility required however the normal ones that apply to all other BA courses is there.

Seeing your score, it seems your best of four percentage will be around 86.75 which is quite decent. ( PE not considered)

Hope it helps!

should i pursue BA programme ( political science + history ) or BA hons (politic science)

sahanahegde44 6th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Hope your doing good

Both the subjects are of equal significance, it is just a matter of separate career options. History and Political Science are the prime subjects of Arts. These subjects are a great source of knowledge as well as doors to several career opportunities.

As a student if you are confused about which subject to pursue ahead, prioritise your requirements and retrospect your subject of interest for your future.

if u r interested in POLITICAL AFFAIRS then go for political science. But if it is not about the latest political affairs then go for HISTORY. According to a survey done by TIMES INDIA ……

nowadays…. the ratio between political honours & HISTORY HONOURS stands for 55% and 45% respectively.
