yes. Pondicherry engineering college is one of the best college for mechanical, electrical and for civil branches you will get strong theoretical knowledge and good practical exposure. AS teachers are well qualified in Pondicherry engineering college so you will gain good amount of practical exposure. teachers are far better than that of the private colleges.

Overall the college life is really enjoyable. The campus is extremely beautiful. It is opposite to sea shore and adjacent to Pondicherry university which is even more beautiful.

It's really hard to get any NIT or IIIT with your rank even if you try to get admission through state quota. There would be some chance to get NIT Nagaland but it's not sure. Now if you get pondicherry engineering college through state quota you may get the Institution within 7th round of counseling. But if you need to apply through AIQ or all India quota it would be difficult. Getting through state quota will also be difficult. Be patient and see what happens till round 7. But getting top branches like CSE or ECE is impossible.

The ownership of the college is Public/Government. The college has approval as Autonomous college. The college has NIRF rating as AAAA and 76th rank in the list of top engineering colleges in India 2019. There are several courses offered by the college such as UG, PG Degree Programmes. The B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is one of them.

*Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering :- It is a full-time four-year course degree offered by Pondicherry University, Puducherry and approved by AICTE. There are total 120 seats available in this college for this course. The total fees for the 4 years of course is 5.46 lakhs. The placements record of the college is good.

*Eligibility criteria to take admission in the course
