Admission Procedure

• Appeared for JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), Karnataka CET, COMED-K, PUEET or any other State-level Engineering Entrance Examination.
• Candidates are required to appear for the Presidency University Bangalore evaluation test in addition to standard eligibility criteria.
• Candidates are also required to appear for the Personal Interview process
• Admissions team also uses scholastic and extra-curricular records.

Eligibility Criteria

The cut-off for JEE mains is 70-75th percentile for general category and 60-70th percentile for SC/ST. The application process for Presidency University can only be done online through the official portal.

HKBK College of Engineering is situated in Bengalore. The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 1997. The program is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi till 2022.

The Department has 28 qualified and experienced faculty members with expertise in VLSI and embedded systems, digital communication, signal processing, computer networks, nanoelectronics. On the other hand, Presidency University was one of the first institutes of Western-type higher education in Asia. This was then taken over the British Government in as the College of the Bengal Presidency, and placed under the newly founded Calcutta University. Various companies recruit students under placement drive. The recruiting Companies which hired students from the University are- Airtel, Amazon, BAJAJ Allianz, Berger Paints, Deloitte, Federal Bank etc. The average package offered in the university is 6-7LPA.

If you able to secure the rank which you have mentioned than you will surely have a lot of opportunities and also you can apply in any best IIT you are willing to only in IIT Bombay will be difficult as it currently the best IIT and has a very very high cutoffs but definitely in this rank you can get Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and many more branches so ultimately you will have a lot choices after that you can easily select the best one for you.

Presidency University located at Kolkata, is recognised as an Institution of National Eminence by the UGC(University Grants Commission). After functioning as a leading constituent college under Calcutta University for over a hundred years, the institution was established as a university in July 2010. It is accredited by NAAC with "A" Grade.  The placement cell is active but it depends from department to department. Like department of Economics or statistics had very few placements. But the department of CSE(Computer Science and Engineering) had many placements by companies like Cognizant, Deloitte, TCS, HSBC etc.

Whereas, Oxford College of Engineering located in Bangalore, is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The college is ranked 33 for Engineering by Times 2020. The placements are very good here. Many top companies like Tata, BYJU's , Infosys, Adobe, etc, visits the college campus for recruitments. The highest package offered was around 12 LPA. The minimum package is around 2-3 LPA. The average package is around 6 LPA. Around 70% of the students got placed with an average salary package of 3 to 9 LPA for computer science students. Students also get placed through off-campus, but most of the students get placed in placement drives and internship drives. Training for placements is also provided to the students.

So, you can choose accordingly. If we see placement wise, Oxford college has more better opportunities. Rest is your choice. Choose wisely.

Yes , Presidency University's School of Law provides Integrated LL. B programmes that last five years. Candidates with a 10+2 diploma are eligible for admission.

Presidency University has average salary package of 3 LPA.Top Recruiters are TCS, Microsoft, Wipro,Byjus etc

CIT Tumkur has highest placement for cse.

Both are private institutions and have all the adequate infrastructural facilities.
