Hello Aspirant,

See if you are going to pass class 12th from Open state board then also you are eligible for NEET UG because recognized state/central open boards of education are valid and their certificates are considered to determine the eligibility for NEET UG.

NEET UG eligibility criteria is mentioned below for your reference :-

** You must have passed 10+2 from any recognized central/state board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject as compulsory subjects but even if Biology is an additional subject then also you will be eligible provisionally.

** English should also be in your curriculum of class 12th and also you should have passed in it.

** You minimum age should be more that or equal to 17 years by December 31st of the examination year, as per the current eligibility criteria.

** As of now there is no upper age limit for NEET but the case is pending in Hon'ble SC and by the examination year if the verdict comes then the upper age limit may be decided and it can be either 25 or as decided by SC.

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.

So on such marks you have very low chances to get any of the private medical colleges under state quota of Karnataka as the cut-offs were around 400+ even for private seats in private medical colleges . But on such score you can go for some Deemed Institutions through AIQ counselling, so as per the previous years data you can go for following deemed institutions through AIQ counselling :-

BVDU Medical College and Hospital, Sangli:- 311 marks

Saveetha Medical College, Chennai:- 265 marks

Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur:- 262 marks

My NEET score is 483, AIR - 100245 UR, from West Bengal. This was my 3rd attempt. should I take a drop or take a private medical college ?

Sree Student Expert 19th Feb, 2022

Hello Shayan,

It is difficult to determine exactly the chances of getting seat in Colleges for your NEET UG score. But based on previous year's cut-offs I'm providing information. I suggest that to go with Private Medical College rather than wasting one more year as it is your 3 rd attempt.

Cut-off changes from year to year and depends on many factors like

1. Number of seats available.

2. Difficulty level of the exam.

3. Number of students appeared in the exam.

4. Caste Category of the students.

You have chances of getting Management quota seat in below mentioned Medical Colleges for your NEET UG score, based on previous year's cut-offs.

ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research and Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia

Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata

Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Durgapur
