Product Design
dear ramesh
you can go through vit official website or career360 site for knowing more information about fee , college details etc stay tuned for more queries sorry for your late reply thank you
Yep, there are other things to consider, which are not specifically related to product design, but to M.Des in these institutions, which might be factors worth considering.
One is that the fees at NID are very high compared to those at IITB. It looks like NID being autonomous, has to generate its own revenue, and one way of doing it is to jack up the fees. Second, there is no hostel accommodation for M.Des students at Ahmedabad campus. Third, there's no concept of teaching assistantship at NID, whereas the same is available at all IITs. Fourth, the M.Des course duration at NID is 2.5 years vs. 2 years at IITs. Fifth, the IITs, being primarily tech institutes, have vast tech resources in the same campus. For example, I notice that the Mechanical Engineering department is adjacent to IDC, IITB. That's important from an industrial design perspective.
UCEED is the entrance exam if you wish to pursue design. Check details here https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/uceed. The next step would be CEED which is the PG entrance exam (https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/ceed). However, you can write CEED even if you are an engineer. Either way is fine to pursue specialization in product design.
Yes you can. You have to clear UCEED exam which is for Transport design or product design courses. You can check the UCEED eligibility here.
The registrations are over but with late fees it will again start on 11th Nov to 17th Nov. So if you have missed it the last chance but will late fees in mentioned above.
You can also check important dates for UCEED here.
Good Luck.
Hi Rutuja,
Without any doubt. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is considered best for all its offered courses. It is well-known for offering vast exposure to students along with excellent placement records. Moreover, this statutory institute comes under the aegis of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. So, if you are able to crack the entrance exam, then you should definitely take admission in product design.
