PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore
Yes, you will get admission in engineering colleges. The basic qualification for the admission of management and Btech course is 50% marks in your plus two examinations. For getting the admission in the government seat or merit seat you have to qualify the entrance examintions. For example in the case of admission in Kerala you have to qualify KEAM entrance examination. The rank of KEAM will be published on the basis of your plus two marks.(i.e., based on your performance in your phsics, chemistry and mathematics examinations in your plus two board exam). There is another way for getting admission in Kerala in management quota. TKM college of engineering is one of the first 250 engineering colleges in India.TKM has both NBA and NAAC accreditation and there is a student strength of 3500.Also, there are other colleges providing management seats like MA college of engineering. Also there are certain deemed universities are giving Btech seats.
You can get admisssion for both management and Btech courses
PSG College has closing marks of around 199.75 marks for CSE. So 175 marks are a bit on the lower side. For IT, the closing marks are around 199. This data is for General category students. Please specify your exact category to get exact info. Hope this helps.
Hello Savin,
You got 179 cut off, it is a good cut off but for this cut off PSG tech is not possible as it is a very top institute and there will be heavy conpetcompe for this college. There is only possibility is that you can approach through management quota. But I suggest you other colleges over this for your marks.
Thank you

Hey sr,
I hope you are doing well... As your query is about PSG College, I would first tell you that PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore is one of the top private college located in Tamil Nadu and does not take admission through JEE MAINS.
PSG College of Technology is an autonomous college affiliated to Anna University. Admission to PSG college is only through single window counselling by Anna University Chennai. This counselling will be based on a ranking that is provided to you on the basis of marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the 12th standard examination held by Tamil Nadu state board. Since the college is a reputed one, the competition will be tremendous and students are expected to be in the top cutoff range to secure admissions.
PSG does not accept any JEE ranking. I haven't seen any person admitted in my college based on JEE/AIEEE mains until 2012 and also there is no mention of any such ways in PSG tech website too. Some websites mention that PSG accepts JEE scores, but am not sure whether the information is authenticated.
Hope this helped.
