For becoming a clinical psychologist, most important thing is a degree in psychology. You need to graduate in psychology or with psychology as maij subject. After that you can do masters in Clinical Psychology. Being associated with Medical field, practice and experience is most important part of clinical psychology.

Forensic psychology is a fascinating subject combining psychology and the legal system. I do not want to disappoint you, but as for now, it's an emerging field and does not have too much scope. In order to become an forensic psychologist you must have a background of psychology in your class 12th. This will help you in your bachelor's degree. Persue, BA or BSC including psychology as a subject with it. After this, you can opt for master's degree and then PhD. But, you get a good salary package depending upon your stat. You can also opt to do law courses and then, be ome an attorney, judge, detective, or experimental forensic psychologist. The average salary package in India for this field starts from 2,50,000 INR but can vary. Some Foreign countries offering the course are - UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada etc.,

As you know, clinical phycologist is a challenging field and you should have sheer love for it. Clinical phycologist has to help people who are in a mentally depressed stage and need help to focus on life. So if you like being a Phycologist just go for it, with out looking the opportunities, because there is nothing like doing what you like.

Clinical phycologist has its demand according to their quality and treatment, in Mangalore good clinical phycologist fetch a good sum of money, and more opportunities are there. You can also practice from a senior phycologist and then start the clinic.

Greetings!

They both are very different .Psychiatrists are trained medical doctors, Psychiatrists attend medical school and are trained in general medicine. After earning an MD, they practice four years of residency training in psychiatry ,they can prescribe medications, and they spend much of their time with patients on medication management as a course of treatment whereas Psychologists obtain a PhD or PsyD doctoral degree, , which can take up to four or six years. They don't go to medical college for their studies . Throughout their education, psychologists study personality development, the history of psychological problems and the science of psychological research. Graduate school provides rigorous preparation for a career in psychology by teaching students how to diagnose mental and emotional disorders in varying situations. After graduate school, psychology students are required to complete an internship that can last one to two years, they focus extensively on psychotherapy and treating emotional and mental suffering in patients with behavioral intervention. Psychologists are also qualified to conduct psychological testing, which is critical in assessing a persons mental state and determining the most effective course of treatment.

neet score is not mandatory to get admission in psychology. it will be no problem that you have taken science stream in 10+2, even it is good because A science stream students can apply in others streams also. Hi meena,

You can have forensic psychologist after doing mbbs too and you can pursue ms in pyschologist after mbbs.for this you have to give neet exam.

Otherwise you can have bsc psychologist and then msc in psychologist.

You can choose any path. And it has good salary in India and also in abroad.

In India MBBS degree is the basic qualification needed to do Psychiatry. After completing MBBS (including internship) one can attend various PG Medical Entrance Exams and take MD in psychiatry which is a 3-year course. Diploma Course in Psychiatry or DNB Psychiatry can also be taken to become a Psychiatrist.
Prospective psychiatrists must complete a four-year bachelor's degree as preparation for medical school. Essential undergraduate classes include English, math, biology, chemistry and physics. Although no particular major is required before applying to medical school, many students major in biology or chemistry.
