Seat matrix PEC has two different quotas. The Chandigarh State Quota and the Other State Quota .According to 2017 trend for Other State Quota ranks are as follows.
Aerospace E = 5500 to 11000
Civil E =11000 to 17500
Computer Science = 1300 to 5500
Electrical E =2200

Considering you are a general category candidate having Home State quota with a rank of 86,840.
There are less favorable chances of getting admission into PEC.
The cutoff marks for the previous year are as follows for different branches:

You can easily use State Quota to take admission in the NIT situated in your state through JoSAA.
Otherwise you can apply to several colleges who accept admission through JEE main rank. Always remeber that seats are not limited to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

Dear Aspirant, firstly you must have to score a big number in your jee main examination to bag a seat in PEC. According to the previous year cut off analysis of PEC admissions, you must have to score approximately above 200 marks for admission process in your preferred stream.
LPU has not given any guidelines pertaining to admission on the basis of national tests. Best thing to do right now is to appear for LPUNEST and seek admission in B Tech CSE. However, you need to fulfil the eligibility conditions.
