1. Both options are good. If you take bsc, then you learn about software or coding language while if you take BCA then you learn about software as well as hardware.
2.In my opinion, Java is better language than python but it's hard.

You need to check the cbse curriculum, if it remains the same then there is no issue but if it changes then the subject of programming language will change accordingly
