Python
See, the basics of Machine Leaning lie in the complex mathematics that lie behind the super cool algorithms like linear regression, logistic regression, decision tree and some advanced concepts like deep learning. Machine learning is easy, but what makes it tough is the maths behind it. If you can tackle the maths part, you'll do just great, as the programming is easy.
Now, if you know basic Python then you'll face no problem as most of the implementations is done using the existing libraries, you can easily implement the algorithms.
Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
See, mastering MS Excel takes very little time if you compare it with learning some of the other programming languages, as Excel do not require any coding or programming whatsoever and is completely graphical interface based application.
As far as Python is considered, it is a Programming language and mastering Python may take somewhere between 6 months to an year, depending on how much time you are giving in learning it. Although, it is a very easy language but getting the hang of it is very important, which you can easily do by practicing data structures and algorithms regularly with it.
For learning both, I would suggest you to go with Udemy or Coursera, and for practicing questions, go for Leetcode or Interviewbit as these have a lot of questions and you will be able to master the concepts.
Some of the best books for problem solving in Python are-
For Beginner level the books you can follow-
For Intermediate level the book which will alone sufficient is Problem solving with Algorithms and Data structure using Python by Brad Miller and David Ranum, Luther College.
I hope this helps. Wish you a great day!
Hello Vipin,
Yes you can definitely make your career further as Python developer but as you are now 30 years old so you are going to face some difficulties in getting job in corporate sector because MNCs and other private are now actively looking for young techy minds but if you can have a good knowledge of Python cores and if you can prepare yourself for roles of senior developer in Python then you can definitely have a decent job but you will have to learn from basic to very advanced in Python if you want to be a senior Python developer.
Also if you are interested in the job roles of Python development then before applying to any job make sure that you must do a lot of projects to show your experience over there in job interviews.
I hope you got the point.
Good Luck!!!
Hello Student
As you have PCB group of subjects in 12th class science examination and appeared for SRMjee and got 7000 rank. Now you are interested to take computer science engineering with PCB group of 12 class science subjects. But mathematics is an compulsory and an essential subject in computer science. So there is no chance for getting computer science enginering through SRMjee with PCB group of subjects. Otherwise you take mathematics as an special subject in computer science engineering course.
Hope this will help.
If you have only one month left for your campus placements, then I would suggest you to definitely go with Python as since it is a very easy programming language and you will be able to pick it up very quickly.
Once you thing that you have got the hang of Python, then you should start preparing Data Structures and Algorithms as this is the most asked in CS related interviews. You should use Leetcode and Hackerrank to prepare for DS and Algo questions. Once you are done with these things, you are fully good to go.

Hello!
Yes, it is definitely possible to learn Python directly without knowing C, C++ and Java.
Python is a beginner- friendly programming language. You do not need any prior experience to learn Python. Moreover, Python is easier to download and install. The syntax is very simple and you can easily read this language. It is an interesting language and we can run the code instantly without waiting for compiling and building.
However, it is advisable to learn C, C++, Java too, if you wish to advance with programming.

Dear Ganesh ,
It's absolutely ok if you want to learn python even you're from commerce field and pursuing B.com (//B.com) . As you know, education has no boundaries , similarly with the help of Open resources .. you can choose to learn python .
But , if you want to get a job in IT field .. most of the companies in this case prefer candidates from an IT related academic background . (not all companies, you can search for this in Google)
With an M.C.A or M.Sc Comp sc degree , you'll be eligible to get a job in It sectors with a good job position .
Hope this helps !
