Sajal Trivedi 19th Feb, 2024

Hello aspirant,

A self-declaration form is to be completed by candidates from Jammu & Kashmir before the counselling process may start. The candidate is qualified to take part in the 15% All-India quota counselling programme in all states with this self-declaration. The 85 percent state quota counselling for Jammu and Kashmir is available to these candidates.

Thank you

Im basically from Manipur but born and brought up in Karnataka , in giving my NEET am i eligible for the 85% state quota with reservation? my Caste certificate is of Manipur, i have the domicile certificate of Karnataka , can i get a seat under reservation through state quota ? please

satyamercedes0626 18th Feb, 2024

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing great.

As per your question, to be eligible for the state NEET quota in Karnataka you need to study your 11th and 12th in Karnataka itself, i.e. intermediate should be completed in Karnataka, and should be domiciled in Karnataka. If you qualify this criteria, then you are eligible for the state reservation of the NEET.

Hope this helps!!

Hello Student ,

With 94.3 percentile having SC category reservation your probable rank according to last year cutoff is around 6061. With that much of rank you have chances to admission admission into IIITs with Computer science and engineering branch.
E.g - IIIT Surat

When should we apply for all india quota or state quota should e select it in neet application form or after neet

mjaisinghani62 16th Feb, 2024

Hello aspirant

You don't have to apply for any quota either state or all india quota before beet exam and neet results .

But you may notify your state so automatically you will be eligible for state quota .

The admisdion to medical colleges in all over India is given through two ways there are 85 % state quota and 15% All India quota .

State quota seats are valid for those candidates who belong to that particular state . These candidates must have domicile of that particular state for example a student living in maharashtra will have maharshtra domicile abd will be eligible for maharashtra state quota seat.

Where as all India quota is for applicable to all students of any state . Bug these are 15% seats so admisdion through through this way us bit tough and has high cut off  .

So dear student wait for results .

can I get hbtu at 84 percentile (Im obc from up so home state quota and Im a female) ?

Devyani Prakash 20th Feb, 2024

Hello student,

Based on your percentile, your rank is expected to fall between the range of 163680 - 184000.

If we check out past year trends at HBTU, the closing rank of round 3 for the OBC category for CSE branch was 22065 - 27408. However, the closing rank of round 3 for the OBC category for Food Tech. branch was 122831 - 150546 (this is year 2021 data).

So based on these trends and data, it would be tough to get admission in HBTU. I suggest that in any case you attempt the JEE Mains second session to improve your score, so that you can open up your chances for easy admissions at top colleges like NITs, and easier admissions at HBTU.
