Hi Japneet,
It seems you have made mistake in naming of the college in the Question. The college name is "Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Dehradun".
To apply for the UG program or MBBS at the Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, you need to clear NEET Examination.
A merit list is prepared for all categories based on candidates scores in NEET-UG by the University's Admission Committee. Candidates who clear the cut-off score set by the committee is then called for the admission process.
For apply to the college, visit official website of the university/college.
Hello,
The eligibility criteria for getting admission in Sri Guru Ram Rai college is to have a valid NEET score and to have a decent score in 12th standard. You have not mentioned your category so it is difficult to guess but if I assume that you belong to the general category then it could be difficult for you to get seat because of the rank you mentioned. Cutoffs vary every year you might get a seat in the later rounds. Incase I am wrong and you are from SC/ST/OBC then I think you would easily get admission in it.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.
Hello aspirant,
Ask your father change his surname in his aadhar card because being your father yours and your father's surname should be there, there may be no problem but prevention is better than cure. You can't change your father's surname all of sudden right? It takes some times so, change your father's surname in all government issued cards. It will be better.
If your question was regarding a Government Quota seat in Shree Guru Ram Medical College, in 20019, under State Quota, an All India Rank of 117920 with 411 marks secured a seat as the cut off. But Compared to 2019, the NEET 2020 cut offs have changed considerably higher than expected. With the top score being 720 which is 19 marks greater than 2019's top score, it is difficult to predict chances. And when cut offs have increased considerably, with a narrow margin of 7-8 marks, a seat under Government Quota in the same College might be difficult, Vibha. You might get a Government Quota seat in a Private Dental College. For a complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please use our College predictor: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer .
The details which are in your class 10 certificate are considered so you need to make an affidavit mentioning the name as per class 10 certificate. You need to submit this affidavit at the time of counselling. Your father's adhaar card will not be verified at the time of counselling your details must be according to class 10 certificate only.
If you dont have good monetary resources you could perhaps opt for a Education Loan or maybe apply for good private medical institutes like the ones in Karnataka, under COMEDK where the fee is comparatively low. Medical Colleges in Karnataka have good infrastructure, faculty and research facilities and provide good medical education.
However my advice to a middle class aspirant would be, to not quit early without victory. You should give a drop if you are confident, get 600+ in next try and achieve your goal in securing a seat in a Good Government or State Medical College.
Hi aspirant,
With 418 marks in neet you have less chance to get government medical college. You need 500 plus marks to take a government seat. You can try for management quota.
You can get private seat in SHRI GURU RAM RAI INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES, DEHRADUN.
This information is based on previous years cutoff and the cutoff marks change every year. It's depends upon number of students that appeared in examination, number of seats available in colleges, difficulties of question paper, etc. And this year cutoff goes very high. So more information you can use neet college predictor to know which college you may get with your marks. That is mentioned below:-
