Hello Dear,
As per the previous year data if your score is above 150 then the chances of getting rank below 10,000 is very high but as you know the cut off depends upon the number of seats available, difficulty level of paper and number of candidates writing the examination. And, hence varies every year depending on these factors. So safe side if you score above 175 then the chances of getting good rank below 10,000 is very high. Hi.
Online Counselling usually have a basic fundamental that the seat is allotted on a relative basis, people with lower ranks will get higher priority irrespective of your own rank (unless the rank is highest). So you need to check colleges of your interest and the course you wish to opt for which have a closing rank higher than your rank.
Example: University A has closing rank 56k for a course X and 78k for course Y and University B has closing rank 74k for course X and 94k in course Y. So you can get seat in course Y in University A and course X and Y both in University B. So depending on your interest you need to fill your own highest priority in top of your choice. If you like Course X from University B then put it in number 1 and then followed by other courses.
Remember: Fill all the choices of your interest from Highest Priority to Least Priority.
If you have a further specific query please feel free to comment.
Best of Luck.

Hello,
Well it totally depends on your choice and what aspects are you comparing them on. If you want to go for government funded institutes then you can but I would suggest you to choose IIITs as some of the IIITs are quite good and recently the placements are also better than GFTIs . As per your requirement I think IIITs are a good option for you.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.

Greetings,
Spot counselling sessions are highly unpredictable in the sense that it all depends upon the number of seats left to fill, number of candidates applying for spot admission, number of candidates actually appearing and the number of candidates with complete set of documents available at the time of admission.
Unfortunately, IPU and most private colleges do not upload much information regarding candidates applying and getting selected in spot counselling as most NLUs do so it is hard to say if you can comfortably get admission or not.
If the last cut off was 3600 then the closer your rank is to that number the higher your chances of admission during spot counselling. That said, you do have a shot at admission with your rank but I'd personally suggest to not count on it completely and have a backup admission plan ready.
Good day.
