which bacherlor of science course for PCB students are best especially for research focused job profiles and to be scientist?

pri111nah 11th Apr, 2022

Hi,

In my opinion, you can go for chemistry.

After doing BSC chemistry there is a lot of jobs opportunity like chemical labs . As compared to physics and bio. A lot of govt jobs also requires BSC with chemistry.

  • BSC physics has lesser scope than chem.
  • In my priority order

Chemistry> physics> biology

  • If you want to do a job oriented course then you should go for MBBS after clearing neet. I know it takes time to clear neet. Please think for MBBS from a govt College. It costs very low as compared with private college but after 5–6 years you'll in a better position.
  • Otherwise you can go for BSC chemistry. It's beneficial for both job and research perspective. If you didn't learn maths in intermediate then you'll suffer in UG and PG because UG with physics is nothing without maths. Even in chemistry also you'll have to gain good maths concept clearing. Basically physical chemistry requires mathematics.

You can choose any path :-

BSC chemistry+ msc chemistry+pgt =teacher

BSC chemistry+ prep for govt job= govt job.

BSC+msc+UGC net = assistant lecturer

BSC+msc +PhD= lecturer

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

can we pursue research in basic sciences after bvsc?

dhanshree1501 26th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

I hope you are doing well.

Bvsc & A. h is a degree that can be used in a variety of situations. Previously, those who completed a BVSC were immediately hired as veterinarians, but now it is more customary to get master's, PhD, and PDF degrees. In a bachelor's degree, there are about 17 major areas to choose from, and these subjects can also be superspecialized in.

Most vet universities in India and Pakistan now provide master's and doctoral degrees in these fields. Biotechnology, microbiology, virology and immunology, pharmacology, physiology, public health, nutrition, meat and dairy technology, and animal production and management are just a few of the many research topics available. Many veterinarians have distinguished themselves in the field of research.

Many top research institutes in India, such as the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, the National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal, Haryana, and numerous central research institutes and centres on various species, have accomplished wonders in the field of research.

Many Indian veterinarians have excelled in Europe, America, and other international research facilities. In a nutshell, vet sciences includes a wide range of research opportunities, spanning from applied vet sciences to pure science.

I hope this helps.

Good Luck

I am studying in a core branch (Pre-Final Year). Want to support my family financially...Should I avoid research and aim for a job?

Anushri Varshney 4th May, 2022

Hi there,

It is good that you studying in  core branch but you must understand that job scopes and opportunities are very as in a particular domain for a core branch.

Due to this issue jobs are less and so does the placements ratios goes down rapidly. See, if you are from a tier 3 college then for sure you should go for job if you are getting any. See, as you have ementioend that you want to help your parents but just know that core hobs usually have low paying jobs so managing expenses and providing help to parents is quite difficult.

So I would suggest you to go with postgraudation and then apply for a job.  And with that you can learn one skill such as content writing, digital marketing or any other  as per your interest. and then you can do freelancing and earn some money.

I hope this will help you. Thank you!!
