I have got a gate score of 558 in gate CSE 2020,what are my options. I know old IITs are out. What are my chances in new IITs,NITs and IIITs. I am open for good interdisciplinary branches,non core IT, cyber security courses and even MS research. Not too inclined for a phD but may consider if good.

Both course have their own research . They both are research - oriented programs.

You can choose either based on your interest. For individual research work you have to complete Phd .So the decision will be completely dependent on your interest.
