As a SC candidate ,I scored 65 percentile have i qualified the exam ? and if yes then please tell me few good NITS in which i could apply for? Well i m preparing for march attempt also.please replyy Im so confused about this??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 9th Mar, 2021

hi,

see jee main exam is an entrance test, its not like any 12th grade board exam where you have to secure a certain marks to qualify in board exam. there is no pass fail criteria in jee main exam. based on your score in jee main you would be allotted colleges. however based on careers360 rank predictor tool, your overall probable rank is : 358050 - 402500, based on previous years analysis it would be quite difficult for you to secure tier 1 institute at this score. so try to secure more marks in next attempt. while you are doing self study you may use careers360 btech companion tool:

https://www.careers360.com/btech-companion

to know about probable college name based on your score you may use careers360 college predictor tool:

i got 70 percentile in jee main can i eligible for jee advance and i belongs to obc-ncl

Shrishty sahu 8th Mar, 2021

Dear student,

The cut offs for jee mains have not been released yet and will be released after all the 4 sessions have been conducted. However the expected cut off for jee mains 2021 would be as follows:

Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95

GEN-EWS - 70- 75

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75

Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55

Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45

PwD - 1-2

The cut off for previous year was as follows:

Common Rank List (CRL) - 90.3765335

GEN-EWS - 70.2435518

Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 72.8887969

Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50.1760245

Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 39.0696101

PwD - 0.0618524

We can expect the cut off for the year 2021 to be similar as the previous year's cut off, so definitely you have a little chances that you would be eligible for jee advance and crack jee mains if you belong to obc ncl category, just hope for the best. You still have more attempts with you, you should try to score higher in them.
