I got 93.89 percentile... should I will be able to clear cut off for jee advance this year?

Shrishty sahu 8th Mar, 2021
Dear student,
I suppose you meant to ask that would you be able to crack jee mains and be eligible for jee advanced this year. Then the answer would be a yes. The expected cut off for jee mains 2021 would be as follows:
  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45
  • PwD - 1-2

The cut off for previous year was as follows:
  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90.3765335
  • GEN-EWS - 70.2435518
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 72.8887969
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50.1760245
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 39.0696101
  • PwD - 0.0618524

We can expect the cut off for the year 2021 to be similar as the previous year's cut off, so definitely you have high chances that you would be eligible for jee advance and crack jee mains even if you belong to general category.

sir i have got 86.14 percentile in jee main ? is it good ? which college is good ?

Shrishty sahu 8th Mar, 2021
Dear student,

86.14 percentile is not that good especially when you belong to general category but don't be depressed, you still have a chance to get into good colleges. According to the previous years trends the corresponding rank for this percentile would be around 1,60,000- 1,70,000. However these estimations are based on the previous years records and may change from year to year as they depend on various factors like difficulty of the examination, number of students that attempted the examination, etc.

Here are some of the colleges that you might get at this percentile:

  • G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune
  • GGU - Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya
  • Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College, MGM University
  • Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology
  • SSBTs College of Engineering and Technology
  • Narhe Technical Campus
  • Nashik District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj's Karmaveer Adv. Baburao Thakare College of Engineering
  • Samrat Ashok Technological Institute
