Robotics
You may pursue PhD in Robotics after MTech in AI, perhaps only if youre interested in a Career in Research whether in Industry or Academia. Otherwise, after M.Tech in AI, you have fair chances of securing a Job in the IT, Software and Technology Industry. You may atleast get a work experience after MTech followed by deciding on PhD.
Dear Student,
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science which involves developing computer programs and applications to complete tasks which would otherwise require human intelligence. AI algorithms can tackle learning, perception, problem-solving, language-understanding and/or logical reasoning. AI is used to control robots via AI algorithms.
Robotics is a branch of technology which deals with robots. Robots are programmable machines which are required to carry out a series of actions with set of instructions being given autonomously, or semi-autonomously. Robots are made to interact with the physical world via sensors and actuators.
Artificially intelligent robots are the bridge between robotics and AI. They are robots which are controlled by AI programs.
Happy Learning!
Hi
The best language for programming advanced robots, the people who are working in advanced robotics asks this question atleast once in their career. But there is no simple answer to that question. People use different types of languages while designing, some use c++ for performance while some use python because it is easier to learn and use and it can be used to develop ROS packages.
Here are some languages widely used for programming a robot
C/ c++: because the hardware libraries used in robotics, use one of the language. Provides good performance but not easy to learn
Python: language found in ROS
Java
C#/. Net
MATLAB: Used in data analysis and development of control system
Hardware description language ( HDLs)
LISP and prolog
Industrial robot languages
Scratch
Pascal: the one of the 1st programming language. But it is good for programming an Industrial robot.
Hope this helps
Hello ,
Robotics is taught in IIT for your Masters degree , and of the best IITs offering Robotics is-
1. IIT Hyderabad , it has well developed Robotics Research labs and equipment for innovative projects etc.
2. IIT Kanpur , it has established a center called The center of Robotics , best for your research interests.
But in order to get into the Masters course you have to appear GATE and gain a good score and prepare for your interview round.
Thank you
Hi,
GITAM university is known for its high educational standards and excellent infrastructure. It is a well known university with high-tech facilities for students. Infrastructure of the university is excellent and the area is very large. The classes are good the labs are High-Tech and very spacious. Many events and annual cultural and technical fests take place every year. The university takes its own entrance exam called GAT for admission into the college.
placements in the campus are excellent. Top companies like TCS, Infosys etc come to visit the campus for recruitment. The students are allowed to sit in the placement drives according tobatches. Like the students having 90% and above are categorised as batch 1, 80% above as batch 2 and so on.
Wish you luck
There are 2 famous robotics science colleges in mumbai.
K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.
K J Somaiya College of Engineering is considered one of the best Engineering colleges in Maharashtra. Listed below are KJSCE ranking in the past few years.
Located in Ghatkopar area of Mumbai, K J Somaiya College of Engineering offers Btech and Mtech in various branches of Engineering. The college has more than 75 well-equipped laboratories.
Pillai college of engineering.
Pillai college of engineering is also in Mumbai which is very good at placements.
Famous companies such as TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, TCS, Wipro, Siemens, L&TI etc..., visit our college every year for placements. Almost 65% of the students who attend placements got placed. Average package of 3.5-5LPA
COEP is a public/government affiliated college. The college is affiliated by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune . The admission to the college for the BTech courses are provided on the basis of MHT CET .Now the college offers 11 subjects in BTech program among which BTech in Robotics and Automation isn't a course.
So at COEP you can study BTech in Robotics and Automation as the course isn't provided by the college.

Dear aspirant,
To be honest its very difficult to predict whether you would eligible to get a free seat or not because there are various factors that needs to be considered like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
On a general basis I would give you a close prediction in which college you stand decent chances like MRCET Hyderabad - Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology,MGIT Hyderabad - Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology
