How is TISS Tuljapurfor rural Management

TISS Tuljapur offers MA in Rural Development programme. It is a four-dimensional programme which comprises of teaching, training, field action, research and documentation. The teaching and academics is well blended with field learning, supported, and facilitated by development partners and people’s institutions. The learning takes place through lecture, seminar, group work, case study, workshops, simulation exercises, etc.

Students pursuing this programme at TISS Tuljapur are engaged in field work, pilot projects, research, etc. Students do internship and field work in various organisations. The MA Social Work in Rural Development postgraduates command excellent job opportunities in various organisations. XIMB RM cutoff?

Hi Saurabh,

XIMB takes admission for MBA in RM through CAT/XAT/NMAT/X-GMT/GMAT.

Cut off for CAT/XAT can go around 65 Percentile

Cut off for NMAT can go around 50 Percentile

For GMAT you have to score minimum 550 Score to apply for this course.

Also, Candidates who have secured the 1st, 2nd or 3rd position (i.e., any of the top three ranks, at the college) in their undergraduate program can apply, without a CAT/XAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT score. Such applicants must submit a certificate from the Head of the Institution to that effect, when asked for. They will however, be required to attend the Personal Interview, if called.

Both are the good programmes it depends on your interest & capability.

Development Studies is all about studying existing mainstream disciplines regarding human development. The programme  offers the students to the wide range of areas like public policy, programme planning, project management etc. You can go for PHD programme after this for advance course or for teaching profession.

 

A Masters degree in Rural Development is a degree program that focuses on identifying methods required to turn rural regions into agriculturally productive areas, and to improve health and nutrition of the communities in these rural areas.
