Hi there
NITK for Civil Engineering:
Placements are quite decent in NITK. The placements are surely satisfying here for civil engineering. This year placement was 67%, but you have to consider that in civil, many people go for further studies and hence don't take campus placements. So that's a decent percent if you compare other top colleges too. Average package in civil was around Rs. 6 lakhs per annum this year and the highest was around Rs. 13 lakhs per annum. So if you have some data about placements in the civil branch even from IIT's, you will definitely find these numbers good. Here, L&T was the major recruiter in general. More than 30 students grabbed the top internships in the third year, and nearly 60% students got a direct internship from this college. There is a placement cell too which is quite useful and helps you in grabbing good packages if you really want one.
RVCE for CSE:
In terms of placements, RVCE is at the top in Karnataka. For branches like CSE, ISE, & ECE, the average packages go around 8-9 LPA. The highest in the 2017-18 batch was 39.1 LPA by a CSE student. This is very good in comparison to last year's data because last year, the highest package offered was 27 LPA, again for a CSE student. Almost 95% of eligible students of CSE get placed and some prefer higher studies rather than getting placed. In ECE, almost 94% students got placed, and the same is the case with ISE. For other branches also, placement percentage is very good as compared with other colleges of Karnataka.
Now, its up to you which course you prefer and interested in. Hope this helps in making your decision.
Good luck!

Dear student, RV College of Engineering Bangalore requires a candidate to submit his migration certificate in the time of admission so that he won't be able to take multiple admissions in other colleges. However you can request the authorities asking for some more time for the submission of migration certificate.
Dear Aspirant
First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance that you deserve such a good college and I would like to tell you that placement is average for industrial engineering but if you are doing good engineering then definitely you are going to excel in your career.
Good luck for your future :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Hi Basavaraj,
I understand that you are currently a student studying in Maharashtra and that you have your caste certificate issued from Karnataka so to answer your question it's highly likely that you would get scholarship provided you fulfill the other eligibility criteria for the same and as for caste certificate- it can be issued from anywhere in India and is applicable everywhere within India.
BEST WISHES!
If you go by my opinion then NITK SURATKAL is anytime a better option as compared to RV college, because of the fact that the rate of management quota in RV college is very high, therefore, it will attract way too many rich and spoilt brats. Now if we talk about NITK Suratkal, the management quota gate is closed for everyone. Thus as far as my opinion is concerned, NITK Suratkal is way more better than RV college
You have to give COMEDK for this and there are more than 30 colleges which accept the comedk score and RV is one of them.
The cutoff will be nearly about 300-400 rank.
