Biotechnology as a branch is comparatively easier to get into than branches like computer science and electrical. The chances of getting your preferred branch in either BMSCE, RVCE or PES is possible and not far fetched. If your score was above 15 thousand then getting these colleges would depend on the number of people applying before you with ranks higher than yours. But just check the previous years cutt off list for a better picture.

Let it be any college other than RV, the semister in 1st year is only 2. And every year the number of semister remains same that is 2 for every colle in this country for B. TECH. 

So join the college and enjoy your first year.

Aerospace engineering in India is a very demanded field since not many colleges offer this branch.

Most of the colleges which offer this course lacks good faculty. Same is the case with this college unlike govt colleges. This department in this college lacks good faculty and good placements which is a major concern for this branch in any other private college.

Hi Saurabh, greetings. COMEDK is the preliminary exam to obtain a seat in private collges in Bangalore and rest of Karnataka state. Your rank of 57439 is unlikely to get you a seat in RV College of Engineering. But please don't lose hope, participate in the counselling and  do sit in the spot round, you might get a seat. Also there is management quota, if you wish to consider that. Thank you.

The cut-off for Chemical engineering at RV College of Engineering was around 8,100 and at Ramaiah Institute of Technology was around 10,800 last year. The cut-off is expected to be similar this year also. So given your rank, your chances of admission are low. However, the cut-off might change, so wait for counselling.
