Sir, minus 1 eye vision is allowed in sainik schools. pl clarify.
Dear Aspirant
Hope you are doing well
As per my knowledge, Maximum Sainik schools will consider the eye vision other than eye sight power and if even though they consider eye sight power -0.5 and -1 is not very critical.
as per the rules laid for NDA examination. The minimum acceptable visual standards will be as under -Visual Standards
- Standard I: Distant Vision (uncorrected) 6/6 (Both eyes)
- Standard II: Distant Vision- Better eye 6/18 Worse eye 5/18 Correctable to 6/166/19 The minimum acceptable visual standard for admission to Sainik School will be standard II. Candidates with visual standard II admitted to NDA after successful completion of their training in Sainik School may be found the fit for army only.

jnv class 6 ka syllabus kya hai . jnv aur sainik schools me kya antar hai
Dear Rajesh ,
I hope you are doing well !
In this answer you will know the basic difference of JNV and sainik school .
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) is a system of schools for talented students predominantly from rural area in India. They are run by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, New Delhi, an autonomous organization under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. JNVs are fully residential and co-educational schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, with classes from VI to XII standard. JNVs are specifically taske with finding talented children in rural areas of India and providing them with an education equivalent to the best residential school system, without regard to their families' socio-economic condition. The Navodaya Vidyalaya system is a unique experiment unparalleled in the annals of school education in India and elsewhere. Its significance lies in the selection of talented rural children as the target group and the attempt to provide them with quality education comparable to the best in a residential school system. Such children are found in all sections of society, and in all areas including the most backward.
The Sainik Schools are a system of schools in India established and managed by the Sainik Schools Society under Ministry of Defence. They were conceived in 1961 by V. K. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister of India, to rectify the regional and class imbalance amongst the Officer cadre of the Indian Military, and to prepare students mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla, Pune and Indian Naval Academy .The schools come under the purview of respective state governments and ministry of difference and his union budget of 2008.The objective of the Sainik Schools is to prepare the students to lead as officers in the defence service of the country. The schools select bright and promising students through a national entrance examination and focus on moulding their overall personality with emphasis on extracurricular activities.
I hope you will understand the difference between JNV and sainik school .
Thanks
