Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, Mumbai
VJTI Is 2nd Best engineering institute in Maharashtra in terms of placement.
All the branches in VJTI have very good placement statistics. If u see placement statistics, Placements in VJTI varies from Year to year.Last year Electrical department’s placements were about 64.00 % (Lowest in the history of electrical branch )
But this year placements are about 92.00 %.So it varies from Year to year.
Studying in S.P.I.T gives you access to large number of hardware, software resources owned by the college. You can also use the college labs well after 5 pm( you can even stay the night in college and use labs for project work).
Now coming to your question, I presume that you are aware of the fields covered in electronics and Extc and you know where your interests lie.
Teachers : Well both the branches have same stereotyped teachers barring few knowledgeable ones. But as per SP standards all the teachers will willing help you in studies and projects. Still electronics has slightly better teachers in terms of knowledge, teaching skills and project involvement.
Hi there
SPIT IT is a better option
The placements are good, big companies like TCS, Deloitte, Infosys, Morgan Stanley have come for recruiting. Last year, 95% of the students got placed. The salary offered was on an average 6.5lakhs with the highest package of 15lakhs and the lowest was 2lakhs. The roles offered by the companies were like Web Developer, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Android app Developer. Internship were given to very few people approximately. 5%. Stipend given was around 40000.
All the inroom facilities are great. The Computer labs are sick and span with very powerful machines. All the lab session conducted are very well organized. The canteen is also decent. The overall campus atmosphere is very calming as the entire campus has lush greenery including a lake.
Teacher in SPIT in IT department are very helpful and very experienced. The teaching of some teacher is very good and they mostly teach from PPT or books.
Hope this helps
Hello Leena,
The National Institute of Technology always holds a greater reputation as compared to Sardar Patel Institute of technology.
If we talk about the placements than NIT (if it is a good one) always provides good placements for the students from all branch. All branches have good placements at NITs.Even sardar patel holds good placement records for EXTC department.
Both the college are good and well Known all you need to do now is to decide which branch you want to choose either mechanical or extc.wherever you are interested you may join that.
Hope this may help you.

Hey leena
Maximum students get placements in various companies and good companies. Students with minimum and maximum marks get placement in a good company. Faculty of college is good, Admission faculty is good, The Teaching staff is good. Teachers are supportive of the students. The staff is cooperative to the students. The infrastructure is good. The college gives various and many faculties to the students Supports students in all activities. The average package offered for EXTC is around 4-6 LPA, and it may increase as the college has just gained autonomous status.
I Hope It Helps
Good Luck
Hi Nimish,
VJTI is one of the renowned colleges in Maharashtra for Engineering. SPIT has been established since 2005 and is just like a brother to SPCE. Both of these colleges would add weight to your profile in the future.
But now the catch is that you are getting textile at VJTI. Textile will narrow down your scope to a single field. So, look for scope of textile in future, and placement profiles provided by VJTI for this branch. Now, coming to vidyalankar, it a decent college.
If you want to pursue further studies abroad then it would not matter to complete engineering from here. CSE has already taken a paradigm shift and is continuing to do so. Look for future options in this field.
Given the automation and robotics evolvement, Electronics could also be a good field. You can always switch to IT form Electronics during jobs.
If you are looking for placements immediately after graduation look for a good college, otherwise you can go with the other options as far as the branch is concerned.
So the decision should be yours, which field are you really interested in.
Hope this is Helpful.

Hii,i am here to help you according to your query. All are equally bad when it comes to teaching. They're running only on the basis of their names and past reputation.
You'll ultimately have to join coaching for some subjects, GRE, GATE etc. You'll have to copy your assignments and term-work. So, what difference does it make ? Nothing.
Placements are also pretty much the same at all 3 places.
