Those students who are pursuing their education in medical and research departments can avail the benefit of the scholarship schemes that are offered by the directorate of Medical Education and research. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial incentives are offered to be students so that they can finance their education.

There are two types of scholarships that are provided under the Directorate of Medical Education and research which are the Rajarshiri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj fee reimbursement scheme and the DR Panjabrao Deshmukh hostel maintenance allowance

Eligibility For Scholarship -

Domicile for UP

• The students who have domicile of Uttar Pradesh can only apply for this scholarship.

• The students must be studying in a college/school or university of Uttar Pradesh.

• Also, School/College of a student must be registered on the UP scholarship portal.

Minimum Income-

• For post-matric scholarship, the family income should equal to or less than Rs. 2 lakh/annum.
• The student family income should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh/annum to apply for UP pre-matric scholarship.

Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Pune (Deemed to be University) has the DPU Merit scholarship scheme. As this is a merit Scholarship, this Scholarship is available to the meritorious students studying in the full-time undergraduate course. Out of 100 students, the scholarship is provided to 25 students (Top 25%). The amount is INR 4000 per annum for BDS.

Kindly note- If the student’s academic performance is not up to the mark, such students will not be provided the benefit of the scholarship.

If any student fails in any consecutive year exams then the Scholarship will not be given

If any student is being provided any kind of financial assistance or support from any other authorities, the student is also not eligible for the scholarship.

DY Patil University does provide scholarships to BDS students of Rs. 4000 per annum. However, it is not based on category or NEET scores. It is based on the first-year examination results- Only the top 25 students out of 100 will be eligible to avail this scholarship based on their performance. However, if you fail in any of the subjects, later on, and do not have 75% attendance and a good academic record, the scholarship will no longer be provided to you.

It is advisable if you are not having any financial issues to pay 10k and reserve your seat in Chandigarh University. This fees is included in your tuition fees. The family income of a ST student for getting scholarship in a private medical college should be less than 4 lacs per annum. His age should be e within 19 from the date of admission Indian private medical college. Scholarship amount in a Government Medical College will be 100% of tuition fees for the four years and the scholarship for a student in private medical college will be the 50% of the first year tuition fees that will be given for the first year only.
