Jeet Mukhopadhyay 25th Jun, 2025

Dear Krishna,

it would be great if you share your category because frankly speaking brother with this marks in general category getting top government colleges would be tough unless you are other category or may have state quota then you get government college in some states otherwise you can apply to private medical colleges.

Do your best

I got 136 in MET exam and 78 % in boards, can I get CSE with spealisation in manipal banglore or Mathematics and computing in Manipal mangalore(manipal campus)?

Nikita shahi 31st Jul, 2025

Hello Pranjal!

A score of 136 in the MET (Manipal Entrance Test) is a decent score, but CSE with specializations like AI, Data Science, or Mathematics and Computing in main Manipal campus or Bangalore is usually very competitive.

  • For main Manipal campus, CSE cutoffs for general category usually go above 170–180.
  • In Manipal Bangalore (MIT Bangalore), you might stand a better chance with 136, especially in later counselling rounds.
  • Manipal Mangalore campus has relatively lower cutoffs, and they may offer seats in newer specializations depending on demand.

I’d say apply and attend counselling sessions. Even if you don’t get your first choice immediately, there’s a good chance you’ll get something close through spot rounds or if some students drop their seats.

Thank you for reaching out!

Sir can we get into gcet jammu if we got 727 rank in jkcet exam.. Is it possible to get any lower branch

Prachi Kumari 24th Apr, 2025

Hello,

Yes, with 727 rank in JKCET , there are chances to get a lower branch in GCET Jammu, especially in the later rounds of counselling. Branches like Civil, Mechanical or Electrical may be possible. It also depends on the category you belong to and the cut-off trends of that year.

You should definitely take part in the counselling process and keep lower branches as options.

Hope it helps !

Is Navodaya school free of cost ?

Garima Sihag 28th Feb, 2025

Navodaya Vidyalayas offer a unique educational opportunity, and while they are largely "free," there are some nuances to understand:

  • Free Education and Facilities:

    • Navodaya Vidyalayas provides free education from Class VI to XII.

    • They also offer free boarding and lodging, uniforms, textbooks, and stationery.

    • Additionally, they cover travel expenses for students.

  • Nominal Fees:

    • A nominal fee is charged to students of Classes IX to XII as "Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi."

    • However, certain categories are exempt from this fee:

      • Students belonging to SC/ST categories.

      • Girl students.

      • Children from families below the poverty line (BPL).

    • Also, there is a different fee structure for children of government employees.

Essentially, Navodaya Vidyalayas aim to provide quality education to talented rural children, regardless of their financial background. While a small fee exists for some senior students, the vast majority of educational and living expenses are covered.

Can someone help me with the NEET form? Im a private candidate for the 12th grade this year from a government school (state board), and the form is asking for the type of school Im in. What should I select?1.Kendriya Vidyalaya(KV)2.Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya(JNVs)3.Government School4.Government Aided Private5.Private Unaided6.Eklavya Model Residential School7.ODL (Open and Distance Learning)8.Others

Prachi Kumari 20th Feb, 2025

Hello,

Since you are a private candidate for the 12th grade from a government school (state board) , you should select:

3. Government School – if your school is fully government-run.

If your school is government-aided but privately managed , select:

4. Government Aided Private.

If you are appearing as a private candidate (without regular school enrollment), check if your board considers you under ODL (Open and Distance Learning) or Others.

To be sure, verify with your school or board office.

Hope you find it useful !

hey,i didnt pick up my 10th Marksheet from the school and instead printed it from digilocker as corona was rampant at that time, but now i want a passport but when i reached the passport kendra they were asking for original so i used the dads service from cbse(seal of school not present)willproblem?

Manasvini Gupta 12th Sep, 2025

If you downloaded your CBSE Class 10 marksheet from DigiLocker, it is considered a valid original digital document since it is digitally signed by CBSE. Passport offices generally accept DigiLocker marksheets as originals because they can be verified online. However, if the copy you submitted was from the CBSE Student Portal (without the school seal), it may not be accepted as it looks like a provisional or duplicate.

For a passport, it is best to either:

  • Use the DigiLocker marksheet (which is valid and original), or

  • Collect the physical marksheet from your school if they still have it.
