Hello there,
With a rank of 26,638 in AP POLYCET, admission to Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) in government polytechnic colleges in Andhra Pradesh is unlikely because these branches usually have lower cutoff ranks.
Some government polytechnic colleges in Andhra Pradesh that offer CSE and ECE diploma courses are:
Andhra Polytechnic College, Kakinada
Government Polytechnic, Anakapalli
Sir CRR Government Polytechnic, Chodavaram
Bapatla Polytechnic, Bapatla
Government Polytechnic, Srikakulam
Government Polytechnic, Visakhapatnam
Government Polytechnic, Tirupati
Government Polytechnic, Guntur
Since your rank is relatively high, you may have better chances in other branches like Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or consider private polytechnic colleges, where cutoffs are usually higher.
Make sure to participate in the counseling process, select various options, and check the official AP POLYCET notifications regularly for seat allotments.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
Hello aruna,
Your chances of getting Computer Science in NIT Trichy was very slim with 966 rank in SC and CSE is one of the most sought after branches. Closing ranks in last few years for SC category in CSE in NIT Trichy have often been usually less than 500. However, cutoffs vary a bit every year depending on competition, seat matrix and quota (home state versus other state). You may look at other NITs or consider other branches in NIT Trichy.
