i got 40000 rank and will i get free seat in Geetanjali college for data science or cyber security and Im a girl and bc-b caste

gopi 16th May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Given your rank of 40,000, there are many factors that affect whether you will be offered a free seat at Geetanjali College for Data Science or Cyber Security. These factors include the total number of seats available, the various cutoff ranks for your category (BC-B), and the strategic reservation scheme that is being used. Since you are in the BC-B category as well, that may perhaps help your situation as there can be some reservation benefits that would aid your chances. Admission cutoffs vary every year with regard to the level of competition and how many seats are available in a field of study. It is best to refer to the official admission notification or contact the college admission office directly, to obtain the most current and accurate information regarding seat allotment and waiver of fees.

i got 6254 branch rank in apecet in computer science and i belong to bcd catagory which collage is suitable for me

gopi 16th May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Having a branch rank of 6254 in the AP ECET 2024 for Computer Science with a BCD category, you should have options in mid to low-tier engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The best engineering colleges under normal circumstances like SVCE Tirupati or GIET Rajahmundry usually close at around rank 1000–1500 for BCD but you could still find engineering colleges like Narayana Engineering College (Nellore), SVCET (Chittoor) or private institutions closing with much higher ranks. It's hard to analyze if you have options with your rank clearly as cutoffs change every year based on the number of available seats and the competition in that particular year. Therefore, enter the counselling process and see which colleges had higher closing ranks in previous years then you can use the official AP ECET counselling website and also see the trends in seat allotment prior to choosing.

My Son Scored 75.5% in his 10th CBSE exam and wanted to do B.Tech or BSC Bioinformatic, should he opt for Science with Maths or Science with Language in his 11th & 12th STD> Please suggest

kumardurgesh1802 15th May, 2025

Hello Vijay,

For B.Tech or B.Sc. Bioinformatics, your son should choose Science with Maths in 11th and 12th.

Here’s why:

  1. B.Tech requires Mathematics and Physics in 12th as a must for engineering courses.

  2. B.Sc. Bioinformatics also often requires Maths along with Biology or Biotechnology.

  3. Choosing Science with Language (instead of Maths) will limit options for B.Tech and related courses.

  4. Maths keeps options open for both technical and science fields.

So, to keep both B.Tech and B.Sc. Bioinformatics available, Science with Maths is the best choice.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

JEE MAIN Rank-391778, Interested for Computer Science and Engineering in Bengaluru. Please provide the list of colleges who accepts this rank for CSE.

Tanisha chaudhary 15th May, 2025

HEY THERE!!

Your rank being 391,778 in JEE Main and being interested in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in Bengaluru means that your chances of getting through top college (such as RVCE, MSRIT, PES University, BMSCE, IIIT Bangalore) are not feasible as their CSE cut-offs will be significantly lower (usually below 20,000–30,000). But most private engineering colleges in Bangalore do accept the JEE Main score and have closing ranks significantly higher, so getting through in lesser-known or newer institutions is possible.

Likely Colleges Accepting Your Rank for CSE in Bengaluru

Following are the types of colleges you should consider:

  • Private engineering colleges with lower intake and higher cut-offs
  • Colleges where management quota or spot counselling is offered

Some of the options to look out for:

  1. REVA University, Bangalore
  2. Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore
  3. Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (for non-CSE branches, or through management quota for CSE)
  4. New Horizon College of Engineering
  5. East Point College of Engineering and Technology
  6. Cambridge Institute of Technology
  7. AMC Engineering College
  8. Gopalan College of Engineering and Management
  9. Don Bosco Institute of Technology
  10. T John Institute of Technology

Note: Actual cut-offs can differ every year. For CSE, even these colleges can have higher demand, so you might have to look at related branches (such as IT, ECE) or management quota seats for CSE.

How to Proceed

  • Utilize JEE Main College Predictor tools to see your chances in particular colleges.
  • Check the official websites of these colleges for their JEE Main-based admission procedure and to find out if CSE seats are open at your rank.
  • Optionally, apply through COMEDK UGET or management quota to have wider options in Bengaluru.

Recommendation:

Apply to several private colleges and maintain backup alternatives in related branches or management quota. For the most precise and updated list, utilize a college predictor tool or directly contact college admission offices.
