Which is a better college for pursuing pgdm scms or rajagiri?

NIKHIL GOPINATHAN 25th Apr, 2019

This is a totally unbiased review

To be very honest, none of them offer credible placements that does even a fair justice to the PGDM/MBA degree and investment made. The ground reality is, most students will be placed in marketing sphere or consultancy related services. If you are a candidate from whom placement is a major criteria, you are probably going to end in a deep disappointment later. Besides if you are aiming a major in operations or finance, be ready for flexibility as recruitments in these segments are the least.

Don't go by the over exaggeration made by the institutions' advertisements claiming record high placements. Mostly they are bogus, and companies such as Amazon came to recruit offering 12L package picked out none. Besides, such companies shall rarely take in 1 or 2 students at max.

At last but not the least, a degree like PGDM (NOT MBA) wherein the institution itself decides curriculum, awards marks and degrees all by themselves is troublesome for a 2nd tier B school. You have to get placed at the campus, else you are going to be in extremely great difficulty in getting employment in open market with such non-centralised , non-universal system of grades.

If you find yourself totally jobless at home and can afford to waste big money for just a mere degree without even a fraction of substantial output, its fine.

Thank you

Which among the following is better with respect to placement with high salary package: CUSAT MBA or SCMS PGDM?

Anonymous 23rd Mar, 2017
HI, Out of both you can prefer SCMS. This is a decent school. So In case you prefer to study MBA (more of theory) then it if for experienced but incase you want to go in depth that is more of practical and study in detail that PGDM is good.
Packages after PGDM is more than after MBA.
An average package is around 6-8 lacs after PGDM and after MBA is less.
Also depends on factors like knowledge, skills and experience. Good Luck.
