In the Indian context a Resident is synonymous with a Resident Doctor . A Resident Doctor is usually someone who already has a basic medical graduate degree and is now working for a Post graduate degree like MD ,MS . They typically spend 3 years as Resident doctors

Hi, so basically the salary of government medical college resident doctor's salary ranges from 9 Lakh per annum to 14 Lakh per annum.

One who have completed 3 years of junior residency with MD/MS/DNB as their post-graduation degree can become Senior Resident Doctor(SR).

Any MBBS degree holder with 3 years
